Khoma - Army Of One

Yesterday was the P3 Gold Awards which was held in Gothenburg, A Gala that I only half watched, mostly to see who won the award for this year's best Rock/Metal Band and to see The Haunted play.

P3 Gold Award, is a gala which Radio Sweden have each year, awards only Swedish artists.

Winner 2011:

This year's track: Robyn - "Dancing On My Own"
This year's group: Johnossi.
Artist of the Year: Robyn.
Newcomer: Tove Styrke.
The Golden microphone: Robyn.
This year's dance: Skudge.
Best Rock / Metal: Khoma.
This year's hip hop/soul: Carlito.
This year's pop: This Is Head.

Once again the queen of these awards was Robyn with 3 prices. (Nice Work)

Khoma is this year's rock band.
The northern part of Sweden's melancholy, music by Umeå band Khoma, the jury liked the combination best. Congratulations!

Justification was:

A melancholy storm sweeping in from the north. Class 3-warning issued. The population is invited to stay indoors and turn up the volume.

To celebrate their victory we give them a tune of course, tomorrow we will take a look on the live act on the P2 Gold Award.
