Sparzanza - Temple Of The Red-Eyed Pigs


Sparzanza is a Swedish heavy metal band from Karlstad, who formed in 1996. The debut album "Angels of vengeance" was released 2001. Since then, the sound evolved more to the metal side. Today, February 9:th, the band releases their fifth album, "Folie à cinq”.




Sparzanza formed in 1996 in Kil, just outside Karlstad, Sweden by Anders Åberg, Peter Eriksson and the brothers David and Calle Johansson. In 1997 they released their first 7 "EP, Wheeler Dealer. After a number of EPs, compilations and touring and a bunch of records it got time to go into the studio again to record their fourth album. Rikard Löfgren were contacted again and recordings began. In the midst of the recordings selected guitarist David Johannesson to leave Sparzanza in favor of a place in the Swedish heavy metal band Mustasch. The recordings proceeded, and a harder, more brutal sound pursued in the early stages. Even greater emphasis than before was put on the material, and "In voodoo veritas" was released 25 February 2009.
New guitarist in the band became Magnus Eronen (Space Probe Taurus, Moaning Wind, etc.). On 27 February the band a Sweden-tour opening for Dia Psalma, followed by several successful tours in neighboring Finland.
2010-designed Sparzanza with Finnish record label Spinefarm Records and launched in the autumn recordings for the fifth disc. "Folie à cinq" as released today 9th of February 2011.



Todays tune "Temple Of The Red-Eyed Pigs" is the first single from the Sparzanza's upcoming album Folie á Cinq which will be released by Spinefarm Records on 9.2.2011
