Finntroll - Solsagan

I have a french friend that love this band and now Im going to please him a bit.
They are quite cool. Love the energy they have.

Finntroll is an extreme metal and folk metal band from Helsinki, Finland. They combine elements of black metal, death metal, and folk metal with a type of Finnish folk music called humppa.



Finntroll's lyrics are mostly in Swedish YAY :D the only exception being the
song "Madon Laulu" on Visor Om Slutet. Finntroll's first singer Katla decided to use Swedish over Finnish since he was part of a Swedish-speaking minority in Finland and the sound of the language seemed to better suit the band's "trollish” outfit. Despite several vocalist changes, this tradition has since been continued.



In february this year they had to cancel a couple of shows in the US due to the harsh weather over there, I think they closed the roads down cos it was snowing to much.

But now they are in Australia. The dates are as following:

Then they go to South America.

08.05.2011 - São Paulo, Carioca Club / BRAZIL

They done 6 studio albums since 1999 and this tune is from the latest album
called Nifelvind, released 2010.
(it means "Wind of Hell/Underworld" in English)

Meshuggah - Combustion

Its to little Meshuggah on Tune Of The Day :D

So I thought we could headbang ruthlesly here!



They have a few gigs comming up in 2011,

In case u dont know who they are, Meshuggah was formed in 1987 in Umeå, Sweden.
A guy once said: "When Meshuggah enter the stage it feels like to have an impromptu math test, to have an hung over while witnessing a total mass slaughter of all scales and rhythmic devices."



Bassist Ida "Evileye" Stenbacka from girl band Crucified Barbara has gotten married with the drummer Tomas Haake in Las Vegas.



Meshuggah released 6 albums and in under this year they will release their 7th.

Tomas Haake on drums, spoken word, vocals
Mårten Hagström on guitars, backing vocals
