Lars Winnerbäck - Från Kylan In I Värmen

Last Sunday, for exactly one week ago made Lars Winnerbäck his last stop on his Scandinavian tour, four sold-out nights at the Circus's a nice end to a totally sold out tour, you can just clap your hands and say congratulations, this is probably what the Swedish people keeps closest to their hearts when it comes to music. What can I say about this, yes one, I mean only one trailer, not the Winnerbäck you're used to, but it is enough if you drive a less austere tour. The set was clean, neat and simple. Unfortunately, I was not with my camera, so I do not have much to offer in terms of images. Thought actually skip this report completely, but a completely sold out tour, I just can't ignore.

I can take this opportunity to mention that the recently released album "Med solen i ögonen", "Kom", "Singel", "Söndermarken","Vatten under broarna", "Daugava", "Tänk om jag ångrar mig och sen ångrar mig igen" on vinyl Each album will be released in 1000 numbered copies All music are remastered to best fit the vinyl format.

Todays tune "" is from the TV Show "Tack För Musiken" with Niklas Strömstedt. 23 Sept 2011

Veronica Maggio - Jag kommer

Veronica Maggio, after two albums, half a dozen singles and consistently touring bribed into their own place in the Scandinavian music map. With soul-colored pop songs with Swedish lyrics she successfully managed the legacy of urban pop pioneers like Mauro Scocco and Orup.

Right now, Veronica on tour and doing this weekend two gigs at Circus here in Stockholm. Two sold-out houses are not bad peed from this lady.

The first night was yesterday and floated on as expected with a good power in the audience. The light show was really good and their light technician did a great job to get to a really nice feeling but on the other hand it gave me major trouble hitting the right spot, I ran the follow spot on Veronica and it was not the easiest when I was dazzled by the massive lightingcast. Petter was a guest at the encore, which gave a further boost for Veronica. Christian Walz mingling before the gig and witnessed the concert seated.

Tonight will be day two of the Circus and it will be interesting to see if there are any changes in layout, setlist, and perhaps even a new guest artist, heard that Petter apparently could not attend tonight's see what happens with that.

Todays tune "Jag kommer" is taken from her latest release "Satan I Gatan" .The new album was written and produced together with Christian Walz and also Markus Krunegård involved as a songwriter on the album. The album has grown up in Christian Walz studio in Östermalm in Stockholm. In fifteen overcrowded square feet - over cluttered of pianos, organs, and effect boxes - have Veronica and Christian for about a year written and recorded eleven new songs. They include, among other things, cracked love, lost friendships and the feeling when you leave the club and walk home at night with new friends.

Sufjan Stevens - Futile Devices

Sufjan Stevens is an American singer-songwriter and musician born in Detroit, Michigan. Stevens first began releasing his music on Asthmatic Kitty, a label co-founded with his stepfather, beginning with the 1999 release, A Sun Came. He is best known for his 2005 album, Illinois, which hit number one in the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart, and for the song "Chicago”.

Stevens has released albums of varying styles, from the electronica of Enjoy Your Rabbit and the lo-fi folk of Seven Swans to the symphonic instrumentation of Illinois and Christmas-themed Songs for Christmas. Stevens makes use of a variety of instruments, often playing many of them himself on the same recording, and writes music in various time signatures. He is considered part of the folk revival in indie pop, but his influences are very broad. His music has been likened to electronica and aesthetically compared to the minimalism of Steve Reich. Stevens' music originally contained spiritual elements; many songs (most notably on Seven Swans) draw their inspiration from Bible stories and themes. Recently, he has made a notable shift away from religious elements once present in his music, and has made several songs that distance himself considerably from the Christian religion, as present on 2010 albums All Delighted People EP and The Age of Adz.

The latest album "The Age of Adz” was released on October 12, 2010 by Asthmatic Kitty Records. It is Stevens' first song-based full length album in five years, since the release of Illinois in 2005. The album features a heavy use of electronics augmented by heavy orchestration, and takes inspiration from the apocalyptic artwork of schizophrenic artist Royal Robertson

In interviews, Stevens has stated that in 2009–2010 he suffered from a mysterious debilitating viral infection that affected his nervous system. He experienced chronic pain, and was forced to stop working on music for several months. He said: "The Age of Adz, is, in some ways, a result of that process of working through health issues and getting much more in touch with my physical self. That's why I think the record's really obsessed with sensation and has a hysterical melodrama to it.”

Sufjan Stevens is out on tour atm and did a visit to the Circus, Stockholm, Sweden yesterday. I must say, A really big production for such a small place as Circus, lots of gadgets and effects did they bring on at this trip. A big band crew with double drummers and a few dancers. The show was very electronic and did a high-impact, very entertainment. Part of the show was very psychedelic with UV light glowing in the dark moving to the beats and used projections of the artist Royal Robertson's (1936-1997) works, very nice effect.

That this is a real ”Stevens” week is actually pretty fun. Sufjan Stevens yesterday, Roger Stevens today and tomorrow, he is doing a double gig at the Globe, on the same day does Arctic Stevens a gig at Circus, on Friday do The Queen of the Stevens plays at Circus and Rush Stevens at Globe and finally Cat Stevens on Saturday.
