Bring Me The Horizon - Visions

Bring Me the Horizon are a British metalcore band from Sheffield, Yorkshire, who formed in 2004. Their name is derived from the last line of the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, in which Captain Jack Sparrow says "Now... Bring me that horizon." They have released three studio albums and one extended play and Remix album.

That the band's latest album have been played much at my home recently, I will give all the credit to Robert "Chief Rebel Angel" for the introduction, BMTH has never been a big favorite at my house until I earlier this year became convinced during a evening in the sign of rock, after that i gave BMTH chance and I was hooked. During almost the whole summer have BMTH latest record been spinning nearly constant and is virtually overplayed at this point. So a tune from them today, does it make sense?

Todays tune "Visions" is the brand new video from the third full-length studio album "There Is a Hell, Believe Me, I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret". The clip was directed by Plastic Kid, the alter ego of Copenhagen-based avant-garde graphic designer and filmmaker Jakob Printzlau. Enjoy!

Simon Neil of the band Biffy Clyro chose the album as his choice in an article on the "It is one of the best metal records I have heard in years: jam-packed with ideas and energy, and, most importantly for a metal record, the vocals don't make you cringe."

Trivium - In Waves

There are many releases this year in the sign of Rock/Metal music.
One of them is Trivium they release their album "In Waves" on the 9th of August.

This album will be the first record to feature new drummer Nick Augusto after previous drummer Travis Smith departed in 2009. In various interviews, the band has stated that the album sounds closer to the style of Ascendancy than the style exhibited on The Crusade and Shogun.

The first single from the band, "In Waves", was released on May 21.
Its pretty catchy and kinda cool.

The band looks like this nowadays:
Matt Heafy on lead vocals, rhythm and lead guitar
Corey Beaulieu on lead and rhythm guitar
Paolo Gregoletto on bass guitar
Nick Augusto on drums

If u dont know ure Trivium its a heavy metal band from Orlando, US.
They were formed in 1999 and released 4 albums, the latest came out 2008.

They are out on a very vast tour back and forth on the globe plz click here to see.
They are the support band to my favorites In Flames in Sweden :D.

Protest The Hero - Bloodmeat

Protest the Hero is a Canadian progressive/metalcore metal band from Whitby, Ontario. Originally named Happy Go Lucky, the band line-up has remained the same since their formation in 1999. The band changed their name to Protest the Hero shortly before releasing their debut EP, Search for the Truth, in 2002. In 2005, the band released their first full-length album, Kezia, on the indie label Underground Operations. Their second full-length album, Fortress was officially released by Underground Operations in Canada and by Vagrant Records worldwide on January 29, 2008. The band has finished recording for their third studio album, Scurrilous, which was released on March 22, 2011.

This is a very interesting act in my ears, it’s catchy, foot tapping and breathless. The singer Rody Walker’s is quite good, he moves from low to high in a great way, sometime a little to often. The guitar players Luke Hoskin and Tim Millar is doing a marvelous work on this album.

I think of Coheed and Cambria when i play the Protest The Hero album. Never less Fortress is defiantly worth of a purchase for anybody that likes good metalcore and progressive metal.

Members are:
Rody Walker - vocals
Luke Hoskin - guitar, piano
Tim Millar - guitar, vocals
Arif Mirabdolbaghi - bass, vocals
Moe Carlson - drums

Todays tune ”Bloodmeat” is picked from Fortress, which is the second studio album and was released on January 29, 2008 on Vagrant Records.

All That Remains - Hold On

All That Remains is an American metalcore band from Springfield, Massachusetts, which formed in 1998. They have released five studio albums, a live CD/DVD, and have sold over 500,000 records in the United States alone. The group consists of guitarists Oli Herbert and Mike Martin, vocalist Philip Labonte, bassist Jeanne Sagan and drummer Jason Costa with Labonte and Herbert being the only two original members.

All That Remains is the band number two out of three that we present from Sunday's gig at the klubben. Today, it will be a double post from me, I do this just to have enough time to present all before the pile gets too big. The second post will be tonight around the time that Helloween get up on stage at the same place that Avanstasia played last sunday, a gig which had been really fun to see and hear, but tonight I find myself in a completely different job which will come here in a few days, we've got trashfest to present first.

Back to All That Remains, a band that can really get a crowd rocking with their riff-based melodic metalcore, really hard not to dig in when they play live. When there are five bands that will share the backstage usually get a bit messy but the staff at the klubben had actually made it as nice as possible, including a place to relax with Wi-Fi so band members could make contact with their loved dear. A band that traveled a bit on the flank did not have a sleeping place for the night, think they were left there during the night, I hope it all worked out. Thought it was very clean, not so much mischief as it tends to be when bands of this type are on the road. Sure, stories about where this and that was told. But in the end it was very relaxed.

Todays tune "Hold On" is the first single, taken from "For We Are Many" and was released on August 18, 2010. This is the first album since This Darkened Heart and Behind Silence and Solitude to feature melodic death metal elements.

Caliban - 24 Years

Caliban are a five-piece metalcore band from Germany. They have released seven studio albums to-date, and two split albums with the band Heaven Shall Burn. Caliban was formed in Hattingen, Germany in 1997 under the name Never Again.

During the flag "Panic Over Europe Tour" do Caliban traveling together with Soilwork, All That Remains, Naer and Bleed From Within. As I have mentioned earlier I promised that we would check out some bands from this concert package. I have some pictures to show, plus a really good song from their latest release.

Caliban - Tech

The band is very tight live and give away as never before on stage, I am sure you can interpret from the pictures. Caliban did an excellent appearance and created an incredible sense of both speed and excitement of the audience which is quite wonderful to see.

Andreas Dörner in Action

Todays tune "24 Years", is the lead single from the latest and seventh full-length album "Say Hello to Tragedy".

The concept of Say Hello to Tragedy comes from questioning why tragedies happen nowadays that could have been prevented. Guitarist Marc Goertz commented, “If people would just open their eyes and at least care a bit about their neighbours, relatives and the world in general, a lot of this adversity could be avoided. Some of our new songs are entirely fictional, whereas other ones refer to real life dramas like the Fritzl case.”
