The Baseballs - Candy Shop

The Baseballs visited Sweden last week, including a gig at Klubben here in Stockholm, the cuddly boys did a nice appearance with their cheerful rockabilly, the crowd was absolutely crazy. Had a sauna chat with "Basti" which had been completely sold on this washing invention and have invested in a sauna at home in germany.
Basti said that the standard accessories to a sauna was quite impossible to buy at home. So he was really happy when he could find these things at the hardware store here in Stockholm.

The Baseballs are a German rock and roll band founded in Berlin in 2007. They became popular with rock cover versions of modern hits such as "Umbrella" by Rihanna and "Hot n Cold" by Katy Perry.

In 2010 the band supported guitarist Jeff Beck on his "Emotion and Commotion" tour as his opening act.

On first August 2011 The Baseballs released together with General Mills – the producer of the ice cream Häagen-Dazs – within an advertising campaign with Cosma Shiva Hagen a free download of the song "Wha Wha" – which was written especially for the campaign. The track is freely available and can be downloaded from the german site of the brand Häagen-Dazs, or click here to get it!

Here is some photos from the gig!

Rihanna - Man Down

Still up in the north, the weather has been great and the grass is finally down, god what job it has been, not so easy when the grass has grown into a field and almost three feet high, but a good neighbor on the island next lent his lawnmower machine and then it became like a children's play. During this time, the portable radio has been our entertainer during this time, the Swedish Radio P3 have been the channel mostly, which can be quite entertaining sometimes, the music is of course however very variably and not always great, however, turned out it suited the kids brilliant, especially the younger one and one song got the kids to dance. With a lot of fuss, have they managed to persuade me to post their summer favorite today, so heck, here is it, but for tomorrow i will have something really cool that i found.

Todays tune "Man Down" is a song performed by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna, taken from her fifth studio album Loud (2010). The song was written by Shama "Sham" Joseph, Timothy & Theron Thomas, and Shontelle Layne. Reception of "Man Down" has been positive, with critics calling it a comeback of Rihanna's Caribbean-tinged rhythm. The song is also included on the set list of the Loud Tour.

The music video for "Man Down" was shot in Jamaica in April 2011, and was directed by Anthony Mandler, who worked with Rihanna for most of her music videos. On May 1, 2011, Rihanna posted three images from the shoot via Twitter. One of the images showed her on a beach wearing a white Dolce & Gabbana dress, while another image showed her riding a bike in Portland Parish. In an interview with MTV News on May 16, 2011, Mandler discussed the music video more in depth:

"We shot the video last month in Jamaica and it's my favorite song she's ever recorded, so I was really excited to get involved. And it's just one of those songs that demands a strong narrative and visual, and let's just say she let me go all the way. So I think you can expect something that's dramatic and shocking and intense and emotional and uplifting and enlightening.”

The video premiered on 106 & Park on May 31, 2011.

David Guetta - I Gotta Feeling (feat Black Eyed Peas)

Today is Sweden's National Day! It’s also The International Day of Slayer.

However…

Last Saturday was the festival day, Summerburst was held at Stockholm Stadium. The whole stadium was transformed into a huge nightclub and was filled with the DJs and audience all day. David Guetta was the headliner. But DJ's who Avicii, Eric Prydz, Dada Life, John Dahlback and Calvin Harris visited the scene.

The construction was done in a rocket speed, a bit shaky in between, but it was the first time so it's understandable, but the crew was experienced, so it went quite smoothly, everything was completed just before the admission. Was actually really fun there, the days were really long, but with nice colleagues, time runs fast, I feel, however, quite worn out now.

That this is not really my kind of bag, musically. So I did not see much, I heard quite enough, sometimes felt like Jim Carrey in the car scene for What Is Love:) Saw the last fifteen minutes of David Guetta, where the promised fireworks should be unleashed, it was actually pretty cool, light show that David had was indeed magnificent with lots of light patterns spiced with flames, reminding a bit of Kiss live:)

David Guetta is a French house music producer and DJ. Originally a DJ at nightclubs during the 1980s and 1990s, he co-founded Gum Productions and released his first album, Just a Little More Love, in 2001. Later, he released Guetta Blaster (2004) and Pop Life (2007). His 2009 album One Love included the hit singles "When Love Takes Over" (featuring Kelly Rowland), "Gettin' Over You" (featuring Chris Willis, Fergie & LMFAO) and "Sexy Bitch" (featuring Akon), the last becoming a top five hit in the US and all three reaching #1 in the UK, as well as another internationally known single called "Memories" featuring Kid Cudi which became a top five hit in many countries.
Guetta has sold over three million albums and 15 million singles worldwide. He is currently one of the most sought-after music producers, having worked with a variety of pop and hip-hop artists including Kelly Rowland, The Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Lil' Wayne, Kylie Minogue, Taio Cruz, Snoop Dogg and Madonna.

Todays tune "I Gotta Feeling" is the second single from The Black Eyed Peas' fifth studio album The E.N.D., produced by the French DJ David Guetta. The song was released on May 21, 2009. The tune is also appearing on David Guetta’s album ”One More Love” were we pick the first video from.
