I recently encounter a band called Red Fang, Red Fang is an American stoner rock/heavy metal band from Portland US. They released their second album "Murder The Mountains" last year and couple of days ago a new video came.
This is a really funny video and the music is real good, more stoner rock than metal. Its catchy but the heavy sound is still there.
The members are: Bryan Giles on guitar, vocals Aaron Beam on bass guitar, vocals David Sullivan on guitar John Sherman on drums
Ladys and Gents here is Red Fang!
Cheers, Thetania

Discography
Red Fang (Sargent House, 2009) Murder the Mountains (Relapse Records, 2011)
The band consists of a bunch of awesome cool dudes open up Mastedon at the Annex. Personally I think they made a great effort, it was heavy meandering sludge riffing and it swung like a derailed train.
Members
Bryan Giles - guitar, vocals Aaron Beam - bass guitar, vocals David Sullivan - guitar John Sherman - drums
Bryan had some problems with his amp during sound check, on crackled and had his own life, think they got order on it, or hummed on behind the scenes in the background during their gig.
Here is some pictures from the gig!
Todays tune "Wires" is taken from "Murder The Mountains", released in 2011

Skraeckoedlan is a fuzzrock quartet from Norrköping, Sweden. They formed in the early spring of 2009 with the ambition to play groovy rock'n'roll with a touch of doom.
Their debut album; a ten track album called "Äppelträdet" (The Apple Tree) was released in 2011 on the Swedish record label Transubstans Records.
This is a straight stoner rock spiced with classic hard rock riffs. As a new stung lizard, growling guitars takes this record forward towards the apple tree. With a straightforward vocals on Swedish that ties it all together in a brilliant way. That you will think of Truckfighters when you hear this is not surprising given that the producer is none other Oskar Cedermalm from Truckfighters.
A really good debut, I must say, an album that I have nothing more than to recommend to all Stoner freaks out there.
Last week I attended a release party at Marie Laveau in Stockholm, Hong Faux and of the long awaited debut full length on vinyl , a very nice meeting, one almost as a buddy meeting. I went there with two good friends and Thetania. Unfortunately this collided a bit with our plans, Thetania worked at Debaser, as you could read about yesterday. And I actually had a ticket to Rival Sons, more about that tomorrow. Too bad, had actually wanted to stay all night, drink a beer or two and talk.
Their gig was really good, but missed the last songs as I had to rush to the other place, What I could hear was excellent, would like to see them soon again. It is a bit sad that the place have no light, it is horrible, really bad for a live band and even worse for a photographer, it is almost impossible to get good pictures, so you have to make do with them few that in fact possible to watch.
Anyway, now I have their album "The Crown That Wears The Head" and can say to that this record swining like hell, What a record, see if I throw up a review on WeRock in the future, depends a little how much time i have, been kinda busy latley.
Hong Faux actually did two release parties for this album, the first went off in Umeå the day before.
For those of you who can’t make it to these shows, the album will be available through our web shop as long as the few copies last. Buy it here!
Here is a some pictures:
Today's song "Blade", is taken from their EP, is not included on the new record, which in turn makes it a little exclusive.
Found a video from the day before which becomes a little bonus! Hong Faux live at Scharinska Umeå Sweden playing Bad City Blues

Today we are looking a little bit outside the framework and listen to a record that was at the door the other day. One Inch Giant, a Stoner Rock band from Gothenburg who have just released their six-track EP "Malva". Already at the first glance one gets interested, the cruelly beautiful cover captures me immediately (Art lover as I am), a sketched work with children book influences made by Emma Ekstam. I think that the image represents the small community of "Malva"
The EP contains 6 very well written songs, were the music is heavy, doomish, powerful, strong stoner rock filled with good classic riffs signed by Gabriel Lugo Méndez. Filip Åstrand vocals are strong and powerful and fits well into this heavy mammoth fur. Also the rhythm section consisting of drummer Gabriel Ek and the bass player Axel Berglund keeps the line straight and rhythmic.
The first track "Ripe And Bold" kicks off the EP before the song begins in earnest, with distorted guitar riffs with light bluesy influences. "Fur Of The Lord" begins much quieter with fuzzed guitar loop and a little more softer in the tune. "Train of Lies" has a bit more classic hard rock song sound with a adequate part of the emphasis accompanied by melodic hooks that murmurs throughout the song. "Feed The Fire" & "Echoes In The Night" are two really heavy track, where the last retrieves influences from Black Sabbath. The EP ends with the gruesome opening of "Treasures That Betrayer" before the song kicks off in earnest.
The record is mastered by the legendary Peter In De Betou (who previously worked with bands like Meshuggah, Bring Me The Horizon and many others).
The EP has a high class, it is rhythmic and melodic, the band shows a real talent for good song writing.

Hong Faux from Stockholm opened up the Graveyard the other day hehe, I mean they were the support act. A band that I actually looked forward to see live. Quarter to nine they walked on stage to a cool intro before it was time to kick off with the song "Blade" from their latest EP. The band played a six song set, three tracks that were new to me which was really fun to hear, and yes they were actually really good. A small note: Most of the crowd were there to see Graveyard and had probably never heard Hong Faux before. I could hear in both emotion and twittering that they actually liked the opening act. We did that in any case me, my colleague and Thetania (she was working, though).
It was a nice groove in the songs, well played and performed by the band, the vocals was great live and the sound was actually quite okay, If I should find something to complain about, then it was the light that was very weak.
They will do a show at 6/4 - Lilla hotellbaren, Stockholm, if i’m free that evening, then i will go.
Here is some pictures from the show, enjoy!
Todays tune is Present Tense-Less from the new EP, enjoy!
"Does the World Really Need Yet another rock band from Sweden? The answer is - Hell yeah! Meet Hong Faux, a new band from Stockholm."
This is how the band starts their own presentaion on their website, clear as a bell in my opinion, you can never get enough of new music, especially if it turns out swinging so damn good as this does.
Hong Faux is a rock band from Stockholm, Sweden formed in the spring 2010, consisting of members from Dexter Jones' Circus Orchestra, High Chao and Nutmeg.
Hong Faux´s debut EP "Novus Forum MMX" released in Nov 16, 2010 (Only Digital Version) Bad Boar Music, distributed by X5 Music Group and was released on Spotify, Feb 1, 2011
This EP moves in the landscape of the stoner / rock with influences of classic 70's fuzzy doom metal. A really good mix that I want to hear more of. The EP, Initiates a little insidious with "Bad City Blues", a heavy grinding bass line and really nice guitar riffs. The vocals is brilliant and fits this perfectly. "Blade" is a more uptempo song, the song that starts with a guitar squeal before it kicks off in earnest with a catchy chorus and classic guitar riffs that are heavy and melodic. The EP ends up with a really strong riff track "Present Tense-Less" with a nice fuzzy melody.
Now I've played this EP on repeat all day and I wonder what fucking stone have they been hiding under. This is awesome and anyone who likes classic rock influences with stooner should get this immediately. Awaiting full length album with excitement, may yet become one of the year's highlights.
Their debut full length album is currently under production. I really hope that they will release this on Vinyl!
