Motörhead - Rock Out

The past weekend did the music stand in the "middle" as usual. This time, we got a pleasant visit from Motörhead. The band that once again did stop here on their tour, they regularly visit Sweden during their almost constant touring. Have actually lost count how many times I've seen them live. This time, was they accompanied with the Norwegian guy called Jorn, who was the support act on this run.

Same day as this, it were an release party of the new Motörhead Vodka.

Demonia did visit the party, you can read about it here!

Motörhead delivered as expected and it had actually been great to have to have the opportunity to photograph the gig, but there was no time on this occasion so I have just a little stray images. But a good friend had actually had time, so I offer some really awesome pictures from Micke Sandström, Enjoy.

Todays tune "Rock Out" is taken from the nineteenth studio album Motörizer. It was released on 26 August 2008.

Here are some crappy pictures!

Horisont - Nightrider

Horisont from Gothenburg, Sweden, looks to the classic hard rock and the bluesy 70′s progressive rock for inspiration. The mix of classic rock, progressive, blues and psychedelic brings the mind back to the days of Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath and November. The wha-wha, fuzz, slide, double riffs, thunderous drums and a killer voice, it’s all here.

On the album "Två Sidor Av Horisonten" from the 2009. Half of the songs on the album are written in English, half in Swedish, giving the album an exotic feel. . Horisont is also currently working on compiling their upcoming album that will be released on Rise Above Records. I belive that Horisont can provide Graveyard a good match for the audience this Friday evening at Debaser, Stockholm. Will you be there? I will!

Pussy a Go Go play records at large dance floor
Club Nuggets play play records in the restaurant

Note, the times are not exact, get there early!

20:00 Top Hawk
22:00 Horisont
23:00 Graveyard

Free admission before 22:00, after that is the price of four chip bags!

It all started back in 2004 when a few guys, originally residents outside of Gothenburg, met and decided to form a band: UNION. It didn’t take long before one by one started to drop out or mysteriously disappear ’til the band was completely dissolved. After a couple of month they once again stumbled across each other’s paths and started talking about reunite the band but with a refining of the previous setting: and HORISONT was born. They didn’t play many shows before they found themselves recording a studio album for Crusher Records.

The members of the band:
Axel Söderberg – vocals
Charlie Van Loo – guitar
Kristofer Möller – guitar
Magnus Delborg – bass
Pontus Jordan – drums

Todays tune "Nightrider" is taken from the album "Två Sidor Av Horisonten"

Treat - Roar

Treat is a melodic-rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. In the second half of the 1980s they had national as well as international successes with songs like "Too wild", "Get you on the run", "Ride me high", "World of promises" and "Party all over”.

They have been playing on arrangements like Monsters of Rock 1988 in Germany, they were the opening act for Queen in Sweden in 1986, and opened for W.A.S.P. during their first Sweden visit.
In 2005 they did a comeback and released the collection Weapons of choice 1984-2006 on March 19, which included the previously unreleased track "Still in heaven" along with the two new songs "GO!" and "Burn for you". They did their first reunion show in front of 4000 people on the Sweden Rock Festival on 10 June 2006.

This evening is Treat playing at Debaser Medis here in Stockholm, as support for Treat we have Houston (Swedish AOR band) and Treadstone (Swedish Melodic Rock band, kinda good actually). I was going to take a fast visit to Debaser, just to say hello to a friend that works with Treat and after that the plan was to go to a photo session with Supralunar (Swedish Rock, Powerpop band that really rocks), but i have no babysitter this evening so i will be stuck at home, so i wish them all luck thru this post.

Todays tune ”Roar" is picked from their latest creation ”Coup De Grace”. The song ”Roar” is the main theme of the Facebook app game "Monster Galaxy”. Enjoy!

Kinda cool college project of the song.

Massive Dynamics - Never Feel Again

Massive Dynamics is a 4-piece rock band from Gothenburg, founded 2010 by the singer Fred.
Fred explains that the idea of starting a vintage rock band had circled around in his mind for a long time, so after finding the perfect band members they could go right into the studio and start recording the material. The band are now writing everything together, a four-track EP has been released already and another is under way, they also aim to release their full length album in summer 2011.

The band members are:

Fred: Vox, Guitar
John: Guitar, Background Vox
Hannes: Bass, Background Vox
Niels: Drums and Percussion

The first EP ”The Stand", I do have in my possession and it has a really nice groove. This EP, is a delightful journey among different styles such as groovy grunge mixed with classic rock, melodies that you´re tapping your feets to. It is well-played music, and Fred has a great vocal range and sings very well. I do recommend this one, you can buy the EP here.

Today’s tune "Never Feel Again” is from the upcoming EP and probably the upcoming full-length album. Fred did this video merely on my request so, thanks Woodie.

Never feel again

On Woodsman Fred blog you can follow Fred's personal life in the woods mixed with his tough rock-star life. It is very entertaining reading.

Dust - From A Dry Camel

Sunday, a day that goes perfectly for a little more classic type of choice of music. Today we screws a bit on the clock. At the dawn of the '70s, hard rock and early heavy metal were almost completely dominated by British innovators. Dust was one of the few American bands to try picking up the gauntlet, playing a progressive brand of proto-metal that was explicitly indebted to their British contemporaries. Formed around 1968, the group featured vocalist/guitarist Richie Wise and the teenaged rhythm section of bassist Kenny Aaronson (who also doubled on slide and steel guitars) and drummer Marc Bell; plus, Kenny Kerner served as the group's lyricist, manager, and producer.

Dust released their self-titled debut album in 1971 on Neil Bogart's pre-Casablanca label Kama Sutra. The follow-up, 1972's Hard Attack, sharpened the band's edge and intensified the power of their approach; thus, it became the more sought-after of the pair by collectors interested in the roots of American metal. However, Dust would record only those two albums; Aaronson joined Stories in 1973, and Wise and Kerner became a production team, also working with Stories; the following year, they would go on to helm the first two Kiss albums. Aaronson, meanwhile, became a prolific session bassist and Bell later became part of the New York punk scene, joining up with Richard Hell & the Voidoids and then moving on to the Ramones (adopting the name Marky Ramone).

The Dust is a band that really should have a place in the disc tray or in vinyl shelf, I own the "Hard Attack" but not actually the first album. Hopefully, I run on one, where the condition of the album is good in the future.

Todays tune ”From A Dry Camel” is taken from the self titled debut album with Dust. With a double gong crashes, and From A Dry Camel launches into a kind of doomy Sabbath-riff. This is a great piece of early metal. Enjoy!

Led Zeppelin - Heartbreaker

Its Classics time!!!
What else is more classic than Led Zeppelin, This band have ment so much for many musicians over the years. Its like we dont do this kinda music anymore.

Black Crows came very near but its not it.
Can u come up with anymore band that nearly come up to Zeppelin kinda music?

Jones and Page did get together with drummer Taylor Hawkins and the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, however, to perform a few Zeppelin songs live in London in 2008.

Dave Grohl

Jason Bonham.

But persistent subsequent rumors suggested that Jones, Page, and Jason Bonham might be on the verge of recording with a new singer, but no such group ever materialized. Expect to hear continued Zep reunion rumors in the future, though — as long as sufficient band members are still around to reunite.
That would be awesome I think.

If there will be any reunion I do hope they will travel a bit and come to Europe as well :)

Ladys and Gents, Here is Led Zeppelin!

Peace and Love to u all, Thetania

A bit of The Yardbirds as well, with Mr Page.

Just found a VERY early Jimmy Page...haha its soo cool. Look
